Interactive communication hub

Internet access and equipment at home can be costly, and now you can make phone calls with the facilities in this public space.

First opened in 2013 with support from Deaf Children Australia; the Community video kiosk provides the opportunity for locals in Darwin NT who use Auslan with the facilities to communicate with a hearing person over the phone during opening hours.

Community Video Kiosk includes:

  • Wide-screen computer
  • Broadband internet
  • Web-camera

The implementation of the kiosk was made possible thanks to an Optus Regional Community grant, which provided funding in 2013.
